Hi, I’m Susan, the founder of Wiggle and Woof Apparel.
I’ve been a groomer for almost 10 years, and in that time, I have tried out a whole range of grooming tops. Some didn’t last, some were just ugly and uncomfortable and when I did find one I liked, it was discontinued. The other issue I had was size.
I bought a grooming shirt in a 4XL, I’m a size 18-20 and it was too small. I was over it! That’s when I decided to investigate developing my own brand. I wanted size inclusive, water and hair resistant and I was sick of grooming shirts that are black, so I wanted colour! Wiggle and Woof Apparel was born.
The first job was finding a manufacturer; I started in China but ended up with a great company based in Pakistan. I needed to sort out styles, colours, as well as the designs for the inserts.
With a bit of time and a lot of coordination, it all came together with two styles and three colours in our initial run.
